Job Description: Veterinary Reception, Client CareLocation: Calgary, ABCalgary Animal Referral and Emergency (C.A.R.E.) Centre welcomes a full-time Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure and customer service focused, ideally you have:Prior experience in customer service and administrative duties is considered an assetPrior knowledge/or ability to learn medical terminology and VCA WoofwareExcellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environmentAbility to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectivelyScheduling appointments; Admitting and discharging pet patientsInvoicing/billing; creating estimates and processing paymentsTake initiative and work independentlyA Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an assetGeneral housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areasWillingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatmentsA love for all companion animals!!Schedule: Available weekdays, weekends and holidays.
