Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY
As the Total Rewards Analyst you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the employee benefits programs. You will be the primary resource for the employees, providing excellent client service an ensuring they understand and maximize their benefits. You are ready to take initiative, propose and implement innovative solutions, and make a positive impact on the benefits offerings and the employees.RESPONSIBILITIES
Benefit & Pension

  • Serve as primary point of contact for over 1000 employees regarding benefit and pension inquiries, providing exceptional client services and support.
  • Manage day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Group Benefits and Retirement plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance within our HRIS and with our service providers.
  • Complete onboarding and offboarding activities and ensure employee elections and dependent information is accurate across all systems.
  • Reconcile and process monthly premium invoices. Liaising with service providers to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Update and validate employee deductions and coverage amounts and calculate premiums adjustments as required.
  • Provide education to employees on the benefit programs and prepare relevant and engaging communication materials.
  • Connect with plan beneficiaries to provide information regarding their entitlements and responsibilities along with required documentation.

Leave Administration

  • Collaborate closely with Employees, Managers, Business Partners, and Case Managers throughout Leaves of absences process, including Disability, Worker’s Compensation, and Maternal/Parental leaves.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular and ad hoc reports, as requested
  • Coordinate with payroll to process maternity & parental leave top up payments, leave of absences, and ad hoc adjustments as required.
  • Calculate and reconcile benefit premium payments for employees on leave.

Compensation Administration

  • Support the Manager, Benefits & Pension in the year-end compensation cycle, which includes ad-hoc analysis, investigations, and resolutions of issues.
  • Assist in ad-hoc analysis or projects throughout the year.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Executive team.
  • Analyze positions to evaluate the scope of job skills and responsibilities to support submission of market surveys.
  • Analyzing results of compensation surveys and preparing results for distribution to the business and/or People & Talent Partners
  • Supporting design and implementation of compensation programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conducting quantitative analysis and scenario testing to support internal and external total rewards’ competitiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Human Resources and group benefits administration and Compensation Administration.
  • Progressing towards a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation considered an asset.
  • Experience in compensation analysis or job evaluation considered an asset

SKILLS

  • Experience with UKG and HRSoft technologies or similar HRIS and Compensation technologies.
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, leave management, regulation and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to think critically, propose new ideas to generate change, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Sound judgment showing tact, diplomacy, and discretion in handling information of confidential and/or sensitive nature
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs with an eagerness in taking advantage of evolving functions.
  • Willingness to learn in a dynamic environment and share new ideas to generate change.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing the employee experience.

REQUIRED

  • Hybrid work environment with 3-days per week working in the downtown Toronto office.
