Job Description: Our large Edmonton-based government client has an immediate need for 2x Test Analyst for 6 months plus possible extension. This Transformation Project is reimagining the way we facilitate our core finance, supply chain, and human resources functions. It will provide increased opportunity to streamline, automate and align processes with leading practices through the use of modernized enterprise-class ERP technologiesThe consultants will establish testing approaches to effectively measure test results and provide confirmation; ensure test cases reflect the scope of business requirements and development being delivered.Advantages

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.
• Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement and issue resolution.
• Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort.
• Support in development and execution of test plans.
• Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data.
• Gather and manage the test data.
• Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle.
• Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test.
• Implement individual tests.
• Set up and execute the tests.
• Log outcomes and verify test execution.
• Analyze and recover from execution errors.
• Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
• Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates.
• Support project team members in the analysis of issues.
• Support project teams utilizing automated testing tools.

Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:M2 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience working as a software tester in a software application development environment (details/description of
development environment must be included).
M3 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience writing test cases from design documents, business processes, architecture diagrams and non-functional
requirements.
M4 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience preparing test data, executing tests and verifying results and logging issues.
M5 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience and understanding of Software QA, Testing and Defect Life Cycle
M6 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience with testing in integrated environments (details/description of integrated environment must be included).
M7 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience in integrations testing
M8 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience in testing REST APIs via Postman or similar tools.
M9 – 3 years – Demonstrated experience in testing SAP applications and SAP interfaces.
M10 -3 years – Demonstrated experience in JIRA and Azure DevOps
M11 – 3 years – Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks
M12 – 3 years – Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating and providing test input during business requirements gathering and detailed design
specificationsDesirable Requirements:D1 – 4 years – Experience with smoke testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
D2 – 2 years – Demonstrated experience testing web applications.
D3 – 3 years – Experience developing API test scripts in Postman
D4 – 3 years – Experience with data integrity standards.
D5 – 3 years – Experience with SQL scripting and MS SQL Server.
D6 – 2 years – Experience with Agile methodology.Summary
