Seabee Gold Operation welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences to apply.SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Sample Prep Technician.About Your New Role:Reporting to the Supervisor, Metallurgy, the Sample Prep Technician (General Labourer), will be responsible for carrying out procedures in the laboratory to perform all mine, mill, and metallurgy assays.Your Key Responsibilities:Unpack, sort, dry, and document all Geology rock and Mill-Metallurgy pulp samples.Bucking (drying, weighing, homogenization, pulverization, subsampling, bagging, labelling) of all test work samples.Crushing, splitting, pulverizing of drill core or rock/pulp samples.Specific Gravity (SG) determination of samples.Able to lift fifty (50) pounds.Maintenance of sample grieve ovens, jaw crusher, riffle splitter, and puck & ring pulverizer.Monitoring and maintaining adequate reagents and supplies requirements.Ensuring work areas in the Assay Lab are kept tidy and organized (Housekeeping).Ensures all procedures are done accurately and in accordance with established SOP’s.Maintain a safe and productive work environment to ensure the wellbeing of all lab personnel.Wear required personal protective equipment to maximize employee safety.Your Knowledge and Skills:Able to work in a dusty, repetitive task, and loud environment.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Pro-active, dependable, and demonstrates common sense.Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.Diligence, quality driven, and strong organizational skills.Ability to work well independently and with others.Your Education and Experience:The successful candidate will have:Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.Experience in a laboratory environment an asset.About Our Working Conditions:This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.Our Stipulations:This job posting complies with all Company standards, policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employees, including the Code of Conduct.
