Job Description: Job Posting on our website FYI:We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to supervise our project sites, from new builds to interior fit-outs. Working with all team members involved in the project to ensure the project goals and requirements are implemented in the field ahead of schedule, within budget and in compliance with Company and safety policies.Key Accountabilities:· Site Operations & Supervision· Sub-Trade Supervision· Resource Management· Specs & Quality· Health & SafetyResponsibilities:· Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors.· Educating site workers on safety regulations and accident protocol.· Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.· Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.· Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.· Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance.· Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.· Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.Knowledge and skills you bring:· A minimum of 5 years experience in Retail and Commercial construction site supervision. Experience at an airport an asset.· Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.· Basics of Supervision, CPR and First Aid, Working at Heights certifications.· Strong leader and team player.· Excellent communication skills.· Organized, resourceful, self-starter.· Ability to maintain good working relations with suppliers and sub-contractors.· Ability to plan, multi-task, work under pressure and solve problems when unexpected issues arise.· Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints.· Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Project an asset).· Hands on experience with various technical aspects of construction e.g. Carpentry, dry wall, framing and site layout.· Flexible to work nights and or out of town, as needed.· Familiarity in areas of e.g. Carpentry, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing etc. is an asset.Why Join Us?· Comprehensive health benefits & wellness program.· Vacation and PTO· Mobile phone allowance· Work boot programWe offer a dynamic work environment where relationships thrive.
