This position reports to the Manager, Structural Design & EngineeringWhat You Get to Do:

• Provides Structural Engineering support and advice to the design and estimating groups
• Structural design (wood, concrete, steel)
• Geotechnical interpretation and foundation design, Site grading and drainage
• Work and collaborate with multiple disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical
• Structural review of production and vendor drawings where required
• Ensures that proper engineering and QMS procedures and principles are maintained and followed
• Structural inspections during plant production and on site as required
• Reviewing and interpreting of Building codes
• Provide construction support to the manufacturing plants and site trades
• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

• A minimum 2 year of Structural Engineering experience with Structural/Civil Engineering degree (B.Sc. or higher) from a recognized post-secondary institution
• EIT or P.Eng. status with APEGA
• Wood design experience is an asset
• Revit familiarity is a strong asset
• Proficient using structural analysis programs
• Self-starter and highly motivated with superior organizational, planning and time management skills
• Proficient use of MS Office applications
