Job Description: Posting End Date: October 30, 2024Employee Type: Regular-Full timeUnion/Non: This is a non-union positionAs a member of the Infrastructure Design Team, the Cloud Design Specialist will be playing a key role in the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable and secure infrastructure that meet the evolving needs of our organization and our clients.This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our cloud initiatives.What you will do:Strategic Planning:Develop enterprise infrastructure strategies that span multiple cloud vendors, and on-premises data centers that align with IT strategic direction.Drive strategic planning initiatives related to the Information Technology department.Responsible for Technology Design, Standards and Roadmaps.Provide leadership at an enterprise level on technology specific councils.Technical Project Leadership:Provide support to complex cloud-based technical projects.Manage all technical aspects of assigned projects, including project charters, stake holder engagement, design, resource and cost allocation, implementation and delivery, sustainment, and project closure.Business Unit Support and Relationship Building:Building and maintaining relationships with business and vendor partnersDevelop technology strategies to optimize IT effectiveness, particularly in business application integration.Craft target state solution architectures, conducting gap analyses, and contributing to solution strategy and roadmap development.Understand Cloud best practices around architecture, security, and storage to meet various customer needs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop designs that meet business objectives and technical requirements.Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions, technologies, and best practices to enhance performance, scalability, and security.Who you are:Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures in platforms such as Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.Familiarity with security principles and best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network segmentation.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate would be an asset.The technical aptitude and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trend required.Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management required.Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, with depth / Subject Matter Expertise in two or more of the following Cloud solutions would be an asset: Server Migration to Azure, SQL Server Migration to Azure, Azure Arc, Azure Storage, Azure Service Fabric, Business Continuity and DR.Enbridge Flex work programEnbridge provides competitive workplace programs that differentiate us and offer flexibility to our team members.
