Title of the Job: Software/Firmware Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Develop high-performance network servers in Python using frameworks like Django, gevent, Redis, and asyncio.
• Firmware Development: Lead firmware projects for ESP32 devices using PlatformIO and Espressif IDF, including Arduino-compatible projects.
• Building Automation: Create products that utilize BACnet and Modbus protocols for building automation systems.
• Network & Server Management: Manage Linux servers, oversee cloud services (AWS), and ensure secure networking using Wireguard VPN.
• Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring successful project delivery from concept to deployment.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Python, C/C++, and embedded firmware development (ESP32/PlatformIO).
• Experience with IP networking, meshing protocols (Zigbee, WiSun), and building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus).
• Strong background in managing Linux servers, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and networking.
• Leadership in a technical role, with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
