Talent is our world.The RoleAs Senior Recruiter, you will work closely with the Senior Manager of Talent Attraction and our Human Resources team to build a best in class Talent Strategy. This hands-on role will focus on building pro-active talent pipelines, creating process efficiencies, ramping up our campus recruitment efforts and elevating the Samsung brand on all relevant Social Media platforms.Key Accountabilities
- Executing internal and external employee branding campaigns to enhance our employer value proposition.
- Creating relevant content and ensuring information is up-to-date for our Human Resources and General Affairs SharePoint site.
- Responsible for generating weekly content for the Linked-In Life Page for Samsung Electronics Canada.
- Leading and developing omni channel marketing and communications strategies that will attract top talent and position Samsung Electronics Canada as an employer of choice.
- Writing and reviewing content for a variety of external communications: email, blogs, website and our Candidate Management System.
- Identify key external vendors that we should partner with to enhance our social media/online presence.
- Oversee planning and budgeting activities related to our employment brand.
- Work along side the Senior Manager of Talent Attraction to create strategies for engagement with employer review sites (Glassdoor, Indeed) including ways to increase reviews, prioritize actions and respond as appropriate.
Campus Recruitment
- Responsible for leading and overseeing all Campus Recruitment to increase our brand presence across Canada;
- Building relationships with the business to identify key roles that require building a talent funnel.
- All campus recruitment related tasks; Posting approved jobs at specific target schools, pre-screening applications for hiring managers, phone screening candidates when applicable, coordinating in-person or video interviews for all student roles, and preparing and extending student offers letters.
- Manage the student Experience: Student onboarding activities, organize and facilitate student orientation (virtual and in-person events), conduct Hiring Manager training every term to communicate expectations of program, coordinate student mentorship program, conduct one on one meetings with students throughout the work term
- Partnering with Universities/Colleges to come up with enhanced opportunities for outreach and DE&I
- Creating ‘student’ content for our Linked-In Life page to enhance our social media presence and promote Campus recruitment.
- Ensure the Samsung brand on campus and in the marketplace remains competitive, as well as continuing to serve as a brand ambassador both internally and externally.
Data and Analytics
- Generate weekly recruitment dashboards to review key ‘Talent Metrics’ (i.e. TTF, Recruitment status update, % of declines, Source of Hire, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze performance of the Candidate Management System to report on our talent funnel and optimization of Recruitment dollars to get the best ROI.
- Remain current on relevant market best practices in talent acquisition including leveraging technology, social media and niche networks.
Sourcing
- Working alongside the Senior Manager of Talent Attraction to create a Pipelining Strategy for key roles at SECA.
- Proactively reaching out to passive candidates via Linked In and other recruitment platforms to promote our brand and future job opportunities.
- Cultivate a database within our Candidate Management System to house succession planning leads.
- Work with the Business to host virtual career events to highlight future career opportunities at Samsung.
- Assist the Talent Attraction team with day/day recruitment on an ad-hoc basis (i.e. PTO coverage, High volume, etc.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and application of recruitment/placement laws and practice in Canada
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and recruitment marketing.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion & tact
- Strong analytical, assessment and written skills.
- Full cycle recruitment expertise (Posting, Phone Screening, Offer Letters, etc.).
- 5+ years directly related experiencing including Human Resources Management and experience across multiple functional groups preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with Campus recruitment and leading co-op recruitment.
- 5+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Directly related experience includes Applicant Tracking Systems, Recruiting and Assessment Tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with ever changing deadlines
- Experience with Workday and Beamery considered a strong asset
