Job Description: Job Description:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 10The Role: Senior React DeveloperThe Team: The Ratings Division is looking to hire a Senior React Developer to lead hands on development and provide design pattern insight. S&P Global Corporates value stream technology team in the Ratings Divisions consists of geographically diversified software engineers responsible to develop scalable solutions by working directly with product development team. One should feel empowered to iterate over ideas and experimentation without being afraid of failure.Responsibilities and Impact:
- Utilize modern frameworks and architectures for front-end development.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of the design system, including typography, color, iconography, and componentry, and provide the necessary tools, resources, and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Tech Leads to understand the needs, development, and adoption of the design system.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Establish technical standards and best practices in collaboration with the Design Architecture team.
- Implement enterprise-level integrations using various technologies.
- Develop web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other Java frameworks, along with RESTful web services.
- Containerize applications and deploy them using CI/CD pipelines and cloud services.
- Experience with containerization.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and exposure to CI/CD practices.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting using relevant tools.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:
- Must have professional experience of working as part of a team on product-focused software projects, including experience of complex software design, documentation, and implementation.
- Candidates must have a strong IT educational background to degree level or equivalent
- 7+ years of professional experience in developing intuitive, state-of-the-art accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript, TypeScript, Web Components, HTML5, and CSS.
- Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of React and Redux.
- Strong understanding of creating single-page applications in React and familiarity with modular front-end architecture.
- Demonstrable experience in developing component-based single-page applications.
- Experienced in applying coding patterns and structuring applications for readability and maintainability.
- Strong proficiency in developing apps using modern JavaScript, TypeScript, Web Components, HTML5, and CSS.
- Strong skills in test automation development, ensuring applications are built and delivered with quality unit and integration tests.
- Experience in securely integrating with REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Demonstrable experience in producing accessible applications that meet the highest accessibility standards.
- Experience in configuring application build scripts for development and production.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an Agile Development environment and maintaining high standards through code reviews.
- Able to work with product and UX teams to translate UI designs into working solutions.
- Software design fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and performance analysis.
