The team’s primary goal is to be defect-preventive with the use of a risk-based approach to testing. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across platforms, working closely with designers, developers, and product teams.You should be curious by nature, passionate about quality testing and willing to go the extra mile to find defects before our internal and external customers do. You should display strong analytical skills that, combined with domain and product knowledge, will guarantee the most efficient and effective planning. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will act as the quality advocate for our internal clients and the players, looking beyond simple Pass/Fail states to identify usability issues while also making recommendations for improvements.You must be technically minded with great written and spoken communication skills, as well as the ability to work in an agile and collaborative manner.This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. It’s all about convenience and collaboration under one roof.What you’ll do:Analysis and PlanningAnalyse project documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of business and technical requirements and, where necessary, collaborate with collaborators to ensure completeness. Documentation may include business requirements, functional specifications, process flow diagrams and user stories, produced at varying levels of formality, dependent on risk and complexity.Collaborate with collaborators on the production of test designs, constantly reviewing and providing feedback, to ensure readiness for delivery from development.Provide estimates of testing effort based on content, risk and experience.Collaborate with product managers and developers to derive logical sets of prioritised test suites, assessing resource requirements and timescales for test execution to ensure they can be run in the available project time.Identify the test conditions, then design and author relevant test scenarios and test cases which will effectively exercise the item under test, applicable to both new and existing product functionality.Ensure that test scenarios and test cases are written in a manner cognisant of automation requirements.TestingConfigure the test environments in readiness for the execution, and care for the integrity of the environment during execution, to ensure the validity of the test results.Complete the agreed set of test cases, providing clear and accurate reports on test results and progress, in accordance with the Test Design and acceptance criteria.Verify bugs when fixes are committed to the affected environment and provide sign-off or remedial action recommendations on behalf of QA.Review, interpret, and analyze logs (e.g., application, server, and error logs) to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, especially within complex and distributed systems.Use automation tools or AI-based platforms to optimize and expedite the QA process.CoreCollaborate with developers to assist in root cause analysis, providing detailed insights from log data to support faster resolution.Employ effective procedures and maintain the right approach for testing and quality assurance.Support continuous delivery and processes to achieve itDevelop and maintain healthy collaborative relationships with other parts of the business and colleagues.Be able to work as part of a team updating on your part, or in isolation summarising to the team.What you’ll bring:Skills and CapabilitiesEssentialExperience with popular Poker variants such as Omaha & Texas Hold’em (more than a passing interest)Knowledge of Software Testing and Software DevelopmentAgile/Scrum development model awarenessSQL experience (Sufficient to run queries against DBs)Ability to diagnose issues, trace messages, identify patterns, and troubleshoot within server logs.DesirableKnowledge of JIRA and test management toolsExperience with automation tools or AI technologies applied to QA (e.g., image recognition, script generation).Experience with testing of iOS and Android mobile web and applications (HTML5, JavaScript, and related web technologies)Knowledge of the online poker environment and industry, including the PokerStars application and othersExperience with Automated Testing Tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin syntax, Protractor, JavaScript)It’s ok if you don’t think you tick every box on this list.
