As a member of this collaborative team, you can expect a safe, diverse and inclusive environment, and on-going learning and career development opportunities.About The RoleThe Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Operations Director and will have an in-depth knowledge of Infrastructure/Civil construction projects.As a Senior Project Manager at Graham you will:Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with clientEnsure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and scheduleAssist, review and negotiate contracts; liaising with legal counsel, as appropriate, in conjunction with Operations ManagerDevelop, recommend and implement the project plan, after being awarded the projectCoach/mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to the Project ManagerMonitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the projectIdentify and mitigate risksAct to resolve disputes between the Company and owner, or Company and subcontractors when possible prior to escalatingIdentify required and optional changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the ownerManage claims and claims avoidanceHave knowledge of the business unit portfolioManage a team with regards to Internal relations and human resourcingPromote upskilling and further learningBe involved with industry and Company organizations and social eventsQualifications/Experience:Civil, mechanical, electrical or Structural Engineering degree or related technical degreeAt least 7+ years’ experience leading Infrastructure Projects ($25-300 million) with a General ContractorKnowledge/experience on water or wastewater projects along with concrete projectsBusiness unit portfolio experienceExperience with running multiple jobsProjects with BC Hydro or Fortis BC considered an assetDetailed understanding of all aspects of construction: technology, equipment, materials, bid management, claims management and safetyCompensation:$131,000 – $160,000 per annumSalary with commensurate with education and experienceIf this sounds like you, then Graham may be the right fit.
