We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to manage both project and operational accounting for our diverse portfolio of Canadian and U.S. projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, supportive work environment.Key Responsibilities:Project Accounting:

• Manage project proformas, budgets, cost reports, and cash flow projections
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for stakeholders to support effective decision-making
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial accuracy and provide timely updates on project performance
• Monitor cash flow and assist with funding requests to ensure sufficient project financing

Operational Accounting:

• Oversee the accounts payable process and ensure timely payments
• Prepare and review financial reports for Canadian and U.S. projects
• Reconcile intercompany and divisional accounts and coordinate with external property management teams
• Prepare and post journal entries, manage entity consolidations, and perform general ledger reconciliations

Software Tools:

• Proficiency in Yardi and Excel (advanced skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is required

Requirements:Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of intermediate to senior accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in cost or project accounting (experience in real estate development, manufacturing, or construction preferred)
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, assertive, and capable of working independently while managing deadlines
• CPA designation or pursuit is an asset, but not required – relevant experience is the key!
