Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat you’ll be doingThe Senior Manager, Strategic Sponsorships supports day to day strategy and planning of the broad multi-year agreements with partners including Toronto Pearson (GTAA), Metrolinx, and ONRoute. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sponsorships, and working purposefully across the entire Sponsorship Team, the Senior Manager assists in the creation and management of both annual and campaign driven plans that drive success within partnership properties. He/she will also act as a key liaison with Sponsorship Marketing for brand and product advertising, and well as other Marketing Teams and Lines of Business as required.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeedReporting to the Director, Strategic Sponsorship this role will:

  • Work with business partners (internal/external) to execute against approved strategy and implement measures for success.
  • Effectively project manage assigned campaigns/projects, including internal and agency timelines/deliverables.
  • Manage internal approval processes on programs and campaigns.
  • Ensure initiatives deliver against plan objectives, are aligned to divisional strategic priorities and support key marketing principles.
  • Collaborate closely with Sponsorship Marketing to ensure alignment with our product/service marketing communication and to determine relevant products/service solutions should they be a component of the Sponsorship campaign.
  • Maintain internal cross functional relationships.
  • Engage with third party suppliers and agency partners.
  • Manage related budget reporting for assigned initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate tracking results and conducting post campaign analysis with other departments such as research stakeholders.
  • Ensure on-going communication and manage on-going weekly status updates on all aspects of assigned projects and responsibilities owned.
  • Proactively identify new and effective ways to maximize Sponsorship potential and ROI
  • Build and develop relationships with the key stakeholder contacts to become a true trusted business partner.
  • Support other sponsorship and marketing initiatives as required.
  • Work to bring professionalism, simplicity and caring to all we do.

Who you are

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a client or agency role, ideally in support of sponsorship marketing (Experience in the areas Sponsorship, and Travel is an asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic plans.
  • Broad understanding of marketing communications including planning, production and implementation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, along with the ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and implement plans with interdepartmental working teams.
  • You know that details matter. You notice things that others don’t. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
  • Strong drive to ensure timely delivery.
  • Team player that can assist on campaigns outside of Strategic Partnership and Community Investment initiatives if required
  • Excellent communication, inter-personal and people skills.
