Are you someone who excels in a spirited team environment, has a growth mindset and is naturally driven to seek opportunities for efficiencies and process improvement and motivate team members to achieve their best performance?As a Senior Manager within our IT Risk & Access Control Group (ACG) you will lead a team of IT Risk professionals and project resources who support our global Wealth Management businesses’ secure and compliant use of technology. In partnership with our Group Risk Management (GRM) and Global Cyber Security (GCS) teams, you will act as a trusted advisor to our business stakeholders in their understanding of safe and secure IT practices in their adoption and usage of third-party applications and other IT and data assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and RBC’s policies and standards.In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the ACG team, focused on two primary areas: 1) business adherence to RBC’s Identity Access Management lifecycle, and 2) the enablement and governance of application controls and protection of RBC data assets. You will direct any remediation of non-compliant usage and lead the maturation of our business’ capabilities and tools. - Lead the WM Access Control Group & represent/participate on behalf of Wealth Management at enterprise forums
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Wealth Management Business and Technology stakeholders to ensure understanding of all aspects of the IAM lifecycle and initiatives
- Lead the onboarding to enterprise IAM controls, as well as maintenance and support of 3rd party and IT managed applications for Wealth Management globally, in compliance with enterprise policies and standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and create process improvement proposals
- Conduct data analysis to inform report standardization, operational direction and project execution, providing business partners with relevant and up-to-date performance reports to help make informed decisions and set priorities
- Work with project teams and other resources to communicate WM Business Risk requirements and priorities in the development and deployment of IAM solutions
- Familiarity with and ability to give guidance on policy and compliance requirements, including the provision of coaching and education to various stakeholders within Wealth Management

- Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of risk professionals
- Strong conflict resolution and team-building skills
Technical Expertise:
- Understanding of IT risk management, cyber security, and identity access management (IAM).
- Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) and authentication services
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with business stakeholders
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language and vice versa
- Strong negotiation skills to balance business needs with compliance requirements
Compliance and Governance:
- Knowledge of RBC’s enterprise policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of risk management principles and practices
Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving:
- Demonstrates exceptional judgment and integrity with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice, considering the regulatory requirements and business objectives
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues and find effective solutions

- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization, and problem- solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
- Critical thinking, analytical and research skills with the ability to rapidly gain understanding of new technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience in Business consulting, CBAP/ PMP/PMI or Business Administration degree (BComm / MBA)
- Experience working in business technology projects and/or business analysis, with knowledge and understanding of agile methodologies for solution design and delivery, change management & audit requirements
- 5-10 years experience of combined experience working with business and technology stakeholders in Identity Access Management, Information Security and/or IT Risk domains
- 5+ years of people management experience
