Reporting to the AVP Finance, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for financial and regulatory reporting for the IG Wealth investment dealers. The candidate will work closing with the Chief Financial Officer of the investment dealers. The candidate will use judgement to provide decision-making support for the IG Wealth investment dealers. The role will liaison with other IGM teams to provide input on decision making related to the investment dealers’ regulatory and financial reporting, and other related matters.Specific responsibilities:Prepare and present financial results to the Board of Directors of the investment dealer(s).Prepare and analyze financial regulatory filings.Prepare and analyze financial statements for the investment dealers as prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards.Provide, interpret and communicate accurate financial reporting and analysis on a timely basis for decision-making.Work with external regulators and auditors.Liaise with key management to provide relevant finance support and insights.Develop presentations communicating financial impact of key strategies/initiatives and present to relevant executives and other leadership.Work closely with other Finance and operations personnel.Support and improve internal controls over systems and financial processes.Be part of the IGM CPA Student Program by supervising individuals who rotate through the team.Qualifications:Business degree and/or Professional Accounting Designation (CPA or equivalent)7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience within the financial services industry is an asset.An understanding of regulatory rules relating to investment dealers in Canada is an asset.Advanced financial and business modelling skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels of the organization and work within a team environment.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively handle pressures of deadlines, changing priorities and work volumes.Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and assume responsibilityPlease visit our career page by clicking on the following link: https://www.ig.ca/en/careersWe thank all applicants for their interest in IG Wealth Management; however only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.IG Wealth Management is an accessible employer committed to providing a barrier free recruitment experience.
