Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat you’ll be doingYou’ll be joining the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) High Risk Enhanced Due Diligence (HREDD) Capital Markets team where you’ll have a meaningful impact by performing investigations in order to mitigate Money-Laundering risks posed to the bank. You will be required to adjudicate alerts and conduct an analysis of client activity specifically related to foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, trade finance and corporate lending products, as well as relationships in order to assess and address these risks posed to CIBC by the clients, while complying with regulatory requirements.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeedAnalytical – You`ll enjoy monitoring client data as it pertains to our AML risk tolerance, analyzing customer account activities and making sense of information. You’re confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way, summarizing analysis, formulating conclusions and recommending course of action.Goal driven – You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact. You have a fundamental understanding of AML and/or have sought out to understand this business through your own independent research.Organization skills – You have solid time management skills and are able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment. You can manage competing priorities and ensure all regulatory deadlines are met.Who you areYou can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience in identifying money laundering red-flags and indicators through investigations and filing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to FINTRAC. It’s an asset if you have experience or exposure related to Capital Markets and have knowledge of foreign exchange, commodities, fixed income, trade finance and corporate lending products.You can demonstrate proficiency with applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. It’s an asset if you also have systems/application knowledge of Broadridge, Fenergo, PostEdge, and WorldCheck.You can demonstrate experience in consumer related regulatory/compliance requirements, policies, procedures and methodologies sufficient to draft strategies and provide advice to business management in resolving regulatory compliance risks and issues.It’s an asset if you have an accreditation by ACAMS/ACFCS.You’re digitally savvy.
