The team is responsible for coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, advising on budgets to achieve our goals, tracking and forecasting deviations from plan, and participating in various efficiency and advising work, such as participation in various steering committees. The team plays a central role with several operational teams on various topics such as financial processes, resource planning, end of month, documentation of our processes and training of our partners, coordination between the different departments including the portfolio management team, etc.What you’ll do here:Act as a primary business partner for IT portfolios to help them understand financial results and influence decisions to align with the achievement of financial goals, provide cost variance explanations and trend analysisWork closely with other financial specialists, project coordinators, portfolio managers, to achieve financial transformation and assess potential for continuous improvement and provide financial tracking of internal productivity initiativesCoordinate activities between the various groups involved in the ongoing budgeting and forecasting process to optimize the use of resourcesDevelop reports and tools to provide a better overview of the IT team’s finances but also important details to provide full transparency on understanding financial data with exemplary precision accompanied by detailed and value-added explanationsEnsure proper documentation for all team tasksAct as a business partner for portfolios: monthly and annual variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting process or any other ad hoc financial analysis required for internal and external chargesBuild and maintain strong relationships with operations and other finance teamsCreate reports regarding strategies for senior management review with a focus on IT portfoliosRequirements:Post secondary education in Finance and Accounting.CPA designation – is requiredMinimum 8 years experience Financial/Accounting analyst roles – requiredAdvanced level Excel experience – is requiredExcellent excel modeling skills, ERP systems, experience in reporting tools such as PowerBI, project management tools, and ability to present financial data to non-financial colleagues.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills and very well organized.Interest in learning computer systems and understanding business structure and processes.Ability to learn and multitask on several projects at the same time, be autonomous, proactive, creative and demonstrate team spirit and positive attitude.Interpersonal communication skills: the ideal candidate must be able to build strong relationships; will act as an advisor to the IT management team on financial matters.For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.#LI-Hybrid.What we offerWorking here means you’ll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
