Job Description: A major construction Group with a presence across Canada is looking for a new Estimator to join their Excavation arm in the Greater Toronto Area. Please note, this role can be hired at Intermediate, Senior or Lead Estimator level.Senior Estimator – Excavation – GTARole Responsibilities:

• Perform full tender process from invitation to submission for a 100% self-performance excavating company
• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimations
• Review scope and complete bid forms
• Conduct site visits and attend bid interviews
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers
• Prepare RFIs (Request for Information) with clients
• Maintain the tender tracker and track submissions
• Follow up with clients throughout the bidding process
• Review production with the operations team
• Mentor and train junior team members
• Present bid opportunities to management
• Seek new excavation opportunities
• Bring new clients and business to the company
• Proactively seek out fresh avenues for excavation projects, utilising industry networks, market analysis, and strategic partnerships

The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:

• 4+ years construction experience
• 2+ years excavating focused estimating experience
• Experience working for a specialist excavating subcontractor is highly preferred
