Job Description: The Senior DevOps Developer is key in maintaining Cloud Infrastructure to support Seaspan’s growing IT needs.As a Senior DevOps Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining organizations Microsoft Azure Cloud services. You will play a crucial role in software development lifecycle by implementing and maintaining the tools and processes necessary for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation.Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.What you’ll do
- Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable DevOps infrastructure.
- Automate build, deployment, and testing processes to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps.
- Develop and maintain Bicep templates to automate the deployment of Azure resources.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate Bicep templates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain version control systems, repositories, and branching strategies to facilitate efficient code collaboration.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track the health and performance of deployed resources.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency of processes across the organization.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Solution Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Azure Cloud Services.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and best practices.
- Working knowledge in Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure functions, Log Analytics services.
- Working technical knowledge of programming languages such as C# or Python and relational databases.
- Expert knowledge of troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
- Understanding on Oracle Cloud Integration is an asset.
- Prior shipbuilding or heavy manufacturing experience is an asset.

The estimated salary for this position is $121,500 – $148,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity.
