If so, read on!What you’ll do:Lead positively, develop harmony and strong partnerships with the Protect teamsHandle performance management scenarios and assess and build talentHave honest, constructive conversations with your people, set clear direction and goals giving frequent, transparent, clear and constructive feedback to improve their performance and achieve the business goals.Clearly articulate and effectively communicate the link between our business, our goals, the strategy and customerDemonstrate and share an expert understanding of the end to end claims’ experienceTake full responsibility for the results of your team, how they contribute to the overall performance, and understand the consequence and impact of key decisions you makeAccountable for the management and oversight of significant indemnity reserves and spend for the LOBBehavioral/Leadership RequirementsHave a can do – will do approach to deliver consistently dedication.Set and encourage others to achieve high standards.Plan and prioritize work; exploit systems, technology and establish clear objectives to deliver business goals.Lead discussions, inspiring change where requiredAct consistently with Aviva values.Be in the work to understand your people’s capability, your team’s performance and the System’s performance.Strategic ManagementActively participate in strategy formulation within the National Protect Team and broader claims operationBring a digital first and customer centric approachLead and support the implementation and planning of enterprise and National Casualty Claims initiatives, ensuring delivery of LOB requirementsLeverage systems and technology to enable streamlined process and improve efficiency and productivityLead with DataCollect and analyze information and ideas to understand how your people and business are performing and initiate improvement using that data through to execution.Challenge with objectivity.Makes clear decisions and suggest solutions to issues raised.Make decisions using data, observe the environment to identify performance blockers/barriers.Identify the bottlenecks, blockers, barriers and root cause of waste in the systemLeverage the data, insight and expertise of the frontline to determine how we improve our overall performance and results.Performance Measurement and Management ControlUnderstand key financial and operational drivers of performance and integrate them in business management reporting processes to ensure we remain financially strong and deliver year on year improvement in our business performanceSupport development of the strategic direction including input to annual business planning and priority settingSupport the development/refinement of appropriate metrics, dashboards and financial/nonfinancial KPIs to enable effective performance managementBring to light operational and financial challenges and raise discussionsEnsure a focus on expense management disciplineGovernance/RiskEnsure deployment of controls across the business that are effective at preventing undesirable risks and are used to find opportunities for performance management, training and overall governance within the operationAlign processes and priorities with those of the business and maintain flexibility in adapting processes to meet the business’s changing needsIdentify and report on any suspicions of fraud or financial irregularities in line with existing Aviva proceduresWhat you’ll bring:Leadership experience in an operational, Claims or Call Centre environment – 5 years at a Senior LevelProfessional Insurance qualification such as CIP/FCIP designation preferredUniversity degree or Post-graduate designation preferredThis position demands a high level of independence, visibility and communication, therefore effective communication skills are crucialPossess strong influencing skills and is a natural leaderOrganizational awareness and political sensitivityExcellent relationship builder and communicator with proven leadership and motivation abilityAbility to lead multiple initiatives in a structured and controlled frameworkAbility to deliver financial story lines to business partners highlighting opportunities and strengthsSound understanding of financial, strategic and performance management processesConsistent track record to embrace and lead change, be highly adaptable and flexible, decisive and display excellent judgmentWhat you’ll get:The salary band for this position ranges from $92,100 to $171,000.
