What’s the job?
The Senior Administrator, Investment Operations is responsible for providing a consistently high level of support to our customers and completing specific functions related to specialized products offered through our various investment platforms. The Senior Administrator achieves this by applying their detailed knowledge of the products and services provided by CCS and remaining current with all regulations regarding the sale and reporting of investment products.What you’ll get to do:
Administration

  • Is conversant on Investment products, services, policies, procedures and back office systems, providing solutions to telephone, email and written inquiries from our customer group.
  • Perform all administrative duties accurately and prioritize them appropriately to meet applicable time frames and deadlines. These duties may include balancing, reconciliation, settlement, transaction processing, appointment booking, paperwork validation, contracting and preparing reports for our stakeholders.
  • Responsible for resolving concerns related to client accounts, problem resolution, and preparing associated action-oriented paperwork to ensure accurate resolution of all issues.

Change Management

  • In addition to remaining current with CCS protocol regarding products and services, it must maintain a current understanding of the guidelines of various regulatory bodies, including the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Mutual Fund Dealers Association (MFDA), and FICOM. Responds positively to changes, challenges and new opportunities.
  • During regular processing actions, identify areas that may be improved by change and present ideas to achieve desired results.

Customer Focus

  • Ensure all outside business contacts, staff, and customers feel secure in their dealings with CCS. Respond promptly and courteously to all work-related inquiries and problems, take responsibility/ownership for the resolution of an issue, keep all parties informed as to status, and recognize when situations need to be escalated. Resolve issues to mutual satisfaction, ensuring a positive service experience.

  • Contribute to a positive team environment by working efficiently, professionally, and in a friendly manner. Be flexible in working any shift as required. Assist others and actively participate in other duties or projects as assigned. Share ideas and opinions to improve our processes and efficiencies.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 1 – 3 Years of Job-Related Experience
  • High School Diploma plus some additional post-secondary courses.
  • Experience in registered and non-registered investment products (and related tax issues), registered plan regulation and administration, and strong proficiency in accounting, administrative processing and communication.
  • Experience with Excel and MS Office and relevant banking system applications.
  • Experience in back office administration and processing.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
