They help make roads safer, water sports more enjoyable, companies more effective and municipalities more efficient.The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for:

  • Overseeing financial records of multiple entities, including oversight of inventory modules.
  • Preparing and creating a budget, cash flow projections and financial reporting.
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Entering, balancing and processing payroll for all employees.
  • Maintaining group benefits, and RRSP contributions.
  • Reviewing and entering employee expense reimbursements.
  • Managing cash flow and banking for multiple entities.
  • Preparing financial reports for internal and external purposes.
  • Managing and recording intercompany transactions.
  • Assisting in budget preparation and contributing to strategic planning.
  • Calculating, filing and remitting GST and PST returns and remitting corporate tax instalment payments.
  • Preparing year-end documentation for external accountants.
  • Reconciling inventory at year end after physical count.
  • Overseeing accounting work of Purchaser and Receptionist.
  • Assisting employees with accounting and software relations issues or questions.
  • Developing accounting related procedures and providing any training to staff.

You and Your Experience:

  • Bachelor of Commerce and CPA designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience and oversight of multiple entities.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Fishbowl Inventory.
  • Prior experience in inventory management would be considered an asset.
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Experience in problem-solving issues within accounting records and inventory.
