The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability within the new and used HD Truck & Trailer department.Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Achieve asset management goals related to inventory turnover, aging, and the protection of company assets, including new and used truck & trailer inventory.
- Ensure the right mix of inventory to meet sales and market share targets.
- Manage and develop all Sales Department employees, building a motivated and successful team focused on long-term success for the company, customers, and employees.
- Attain market share goals for long-term success with both manufacturers and the company.
- Provide insights into future opportunities and competitive challenges.
- Assist in managing branch account receivables in collaboration with the Director of Credit Services and the VP of Operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal teams, key business partners, and customers.
- Strong decision-making skills in financial transactions, sales strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- High level of critical thinking, analysis, and reasoning.
- Willingness to travel as required; a recent driver’s abstract will be necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a sales management role.
- Only applicants with experience in the heavy-duty truck and/or trailer industry will be considered.
