In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations across multiple Canadian locations. You will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:

• Support effective business decision making by providing accurate financial reporting, margin analytics, cost management initiatives plus various other analytics.
• Interpretation/communication of financial information with non-financial peers.
• Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of client invoicing and collections.
• Preparation and maintenance of annual budgets as well as quarterly and weekly forecasting.
• Responsible for client audits and contract analysis.
• Assists the Canada Controller with projects and assignments including process improvements and standardization.
• Ensures compliance with standard and local operating procedures; provides recommendations and implementation of internal controls and continuous improvement initiative.
• Ability to travel 25-30%.

Requirements:

• An Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the industrial or commercial sector.
• Strong business acumen and ability to “roll up your sleeves” to dig into the details.
• Understanding of, and adherence, to contractual obligations.
• A full understanding of project-based accounting.
• Experience with analytics and the interpretation of such for the purpose of business & process improvement recommendations.
• Strong leadership/managerial experience.
• Effective and respectful communication skills.
• Strong computer/systems skills; advanced excel as well as system transition/integration experience is an asset.
• Wide-ranging knowledge around commodity tax and payroll rules and regulation.
