- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and Emergency Response for the company’s operations across Canada
- Provide advice on innovation, governance, tools, practices, policies, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company’s operational and strategic risk in a framework aligned to ISO 31000
- Prepare quarterly Enterprise Risk reports for the Executive Committee
- Coordinate and conduct periodic training for and testing of the incident, emergency response and business continuity structures, assess the results and make recommendations to enhance these programs
- Support the Crisis Communications program and act as an alternate manager for the Critical Incident Management toolset
- Maintain and update plans and documentation for business continuity and risk programs
- Provide support to maintaining Document of Controls with the Director of Finance
- Conduct periodic Business Impact Analysis
- Support the Quality Assurance, Security, Heath Safety and Environment teams ensure alignment on strategic objectives and processes iaw the Three Lines of Defence model, and
- Act as a company wide resource, regularly interacting with and advising Senior Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents in their roles as risk control owners and risk sponsors
The ideal candidate brings:
- 4 years of meaningful experience in risk management or Middle/Back Office service
- Experience and knowledge of Risk Management concepts like Operational risk management, Risk appetite, Internal controls, Business continuity management, Crises management, Third party risk management, and related operational resilience concepts
- Experience and knowledge of change management, communications and learning principles, methodologies, and tools
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, and coordination of work across a large number of partners
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, more specifically:
- Very good capability to communicate on a regular basis with Senior Leaders
- Able to competently act as a data recorder/scribe during risk assessment working sessions, draw up executive reports, and prepare a high-end presentation
- Ability to efficiently analyze reports and communicate key messages to management levels
- Ability for strategic, analytical, and critical thinking to support appropriate risk management measurements and effectively support those recommendations
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work well under pressure and constantly adjust priorities
- Ability to support the management of projects, including their planning, organization, and implementation
- Certification in risk management an asset
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
