Cognizant is right where you belong!Role overview-We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Specialist with experience in Finance and Accounting! This role involves providing expert analysis and insights to drive Risk management strategies and improve business processes. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our client’s decision-making and ensuring compliance with technology, data governance, and cybersecurity industry standards.What you’ll do:

  • Support Non-Financial Risk Management Lead for post-merger integration, including running key integration activities and landmarks, risk reporting, issue management, and executive reporting.
  • Implement risk oversight programs by collaborating closely with technology risk authorities and first-line of defence partners across technology, cyber, data, and compliance.
  • Support the Enterprise risk management team in month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct control maturity assessments (e.g., risk and control self assessment, ISO compliance) and provide recommendations and roadmap for gap remediation
  • Conduct technology, data privacy, and cybersecurity regulatory and compliance review .
  • Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies in technology, cybersecurity, and data governance to provide innovative solutions.

What you bring to the role:

  • Must have 5-10 Years of experience in development and execution of enterprise-wide risk management program. Ability to lead multiple workstreams and handle risks that can impact the program’s goals, timeline, and budget.
  • Experience with risk oversight programs, audit, compliance, and technology controls. activities.
  • Must have experience in technology processes and controls for banking industry (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, OSFI).
  • Experienced in data governance, data migration, data security and privacy, as well as compliance with applicable data regulations and banking industry standards.
  • Ability to develop and implement enterprise technology risk management and compliance programs (review approach, scope, test procedure, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in PCI DSS compliance, Banking Payment technologies, Credit Card technologies and data.
