The RTL’s goal is to enable Advisors, Advisor staff and managers, in identifying learning needs and delivering defined Sun Life requirements, tools, technology, and administrative process training, in partnership with their District Managers (DM) and aligned with Head Office Professional Development programs. This role is also accountable for the operational effectiveness of Financial Centre locations which can include, premises, technology, administrations, advisor office managements and client management processes.What will you do?Responsible for running the operations of the FC locationsLeads the FC resource administration teamCompletes regular one on one reviews with each team member ensuring their goals and objectives reflect the needs of the company, the FC as well as the requirements of the jobAssess advisor learning needs and recommend training required to meet the needsEnable technology adoption, working in partnership with the Distribution Digital Office and Management teamCoordinates the FC training program based on the needs of the FCDelivers initial and on-going advisor training, prepares training schedules, arranges for presentersProvides training on various sales support systems – topics of technology, product and procedures, through group training or one-on-one sessions.Provides just-in-time PC trouble shooting to resolve technology problemsProvides just-in-time information on insurance products/proceduresDelivers training on compliance and market conduct topics as requiredFacilities management (premises & equipment)Oversee administrative process, operating within national policies driving efficiency and effectiveness across locationsWhat do you need to succeed?Strong client relationship skills and a client centric mindsetAbility to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast paced, demanding and constantly changing environmentSound coaching, performance managers and influencing skillsPresentation and facilitation skills with the demonstrated ability to learn and create an atmosphere to motivate others to learnStrong influence and communication skills (written and oral)Ability to work in a matrix environmentCommitted to ongoing personal and professional developmentExcellent PC Skills (Windows Operating system, Microsoft Office, Salesforce)Ability to work independently and with all members of the FC TeamUniversity degree with 3-6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience – Degree or college diploma preferredExperience includes coaching, leading and influencing teams, previous experience in the financial services and relationship managementUnique requirements:The location of other Sun Life offices determines the extent of the Resource Team Lead’s travel. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
