Job Description: Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Researcher.Responsibilities:

• Explore advanced technologies for future optical telecommunication systems
• Optimize the transmission performance of long-haul optical telecommunication systems
• Perform lab experiments related to fiber-optics and free-space optics
• Write technical reports, insights and academic papers; draft patents

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics/Photonics/Optics/Engineering
• Knowledge of the physics behind fiber amplifiers, optical fibers and lasers
• Hands-on skills in fiber-optic and free-space optics experiments
• Familiar with Python
• Industry experience in Telecommunication/Photonics/Lasers is an asset
• Knowledge and experience related to RF photonics, electronic design and CAD tools is an asset
• Fluency in French is an asset
