The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. This posting is for a Research Assistant who will work under the supervision of a Pediatric Neurologist. The Research Assistant will work on managing the day to day operations of multiple projects.General Duties

• Prepare submissions to the Research Ethics Board;
• Contribute to the preparation of grant applications;
• Data entry, management and analysis;
• Assist in drafting and formatting manuscripts for submission to scientific journals;
• Completion of other study related tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Other Requirements: Attention to detail and accuracy

• MSc degree in health-related field; a specialization in Epidemiology would be an asset;
• Ideal candidate has experience in research;
• Ability to work independently and within a team;
• Good communication and organizational skills;
• Ability to take initiative, set priorities, time-manage, and resolve problems;
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, EndNote);
• Excellent statistical software skills (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Stata or other);
• Strong scientific writing skills;
• Must be fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).

Required Skills

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Able to take initiative;
• Respect of timelines.

Additional informationStatus: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, $48,503.00 – $90,090.00.
Work Shift: 8 am- 4 pm, Monday to Friday
