The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting and expanding the use of COVID-19 research data. We seek an individual with a background in meta-research and epidemiology, or a related discipline, who has demonstrated skills in science community outreach and communication. Creativity, organization, and a collaborative mindset are attributes we value highly.The CITF Databank centralizes and standardizes data from over 50 Canadian COVID-19 studies, providing researchers with a range of standardized pandemic data at no cost. This databank was established to augment the impact of the studies funded by the COVID-19 Immunity Task Force (CITF).Launched by the Government of Canada in April 2020, the CITF’s mandate was to catalyze, support, fund, and harmonize knowledge on SARS-CoV-2 immunity, providing critical pandemic management insights for federal, provincial, and territorial decision-makers. The CITF operated until March 31, 2024. The CITF Databank continues the work of the CITF Data Management and Analysis unit, in partnership with a Science Advisory Board and a Data Access Committee. Our Governance Framework is aligned with open science and FAIR data principles, and we have a mandate to promote and understand the use of the data for research.Position Summary:Identify Canadian and international stakeholders (public, governmental, private researchers, graduate education departments)Help develop a Stakeholder Research planHelp develop and evaluate information materials and workshops promoting and facilitating data accessConduct focus group research and incorporate user feedbackReport progress and research results to Science Advisory Board and in peer reviewed publicationsWork with small team of epidemiologists and data scientists to document, understand, and enhance the curated research dataMaintain data security and participant confidentiality.Qualifications:RequiredMasters degree or higher in a relevant field such as population science related field (epidemiology, public health, applied economics, sociology), Information Science, Philosophy of Science, CommunicationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
