Our veterinary technicians are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement to many specialty cases. Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role;Minimum of 3 years as a practicing Veterinary TechnicianPrevious surgical experience desiredOrganize daily bookings and prepare caseload file information for Veterinarians and surgery teamPoint of contact between Veterinarian, Pet Owner and specialty departmentsExperience with and willing to enhance technical skills; anesthesia, CRI’s, epidurals and mechanical ventilatorsWork closely with the ICU team and treatment team and assist where necessaryAbility to thrive in a steady and often fast paced environmentExceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleaguesProven ability to keep accurate patient recordsStrong ability to problem-solveWhat VCA Canada OffersJoin our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
