The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will collaborate with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient care, addressing a diverse range of medical conditions with dedication and expertise. Focusing on holistic healing, the RPN will strive to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients throughout their journey. This involves routine medical management and responding to emergent situations, while adhering to best practice guidelines. As a valued member of the crew, the RPN’s role is essential in upholding the high standards of care that define our 2 East Medical floor. Together, we create an environment where health, compassion, and professionalism converge to positively impact the lives of those we serve.QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation:

  • Graduate of a recognized Registered Practical Nursing Program
  • Registered Practical Nurse in good standing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with all patients, physicians, staff, and visitors. Must have an ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in the English language in order to provide excellent communication with patients, physicians, staff, and visitors.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Willingness to participate in process improvement
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families as well as other members of the healthcare team within a challenging and exciting health care environment
  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers

ASSETS

  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Meditech Expanse knowledge considered an asset
  • Completion of a Medication Administration Course
  • Completion of Coronary Care 1 Certificate

  • Hourly rate of pay $36.33 to $37.05, vacation accrual starting at two (2) weeks per year, with an additional 14% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of paid vacation. Paid vacation percentage increases throughout your tenure.

HOURS OF WORKPermanent Part Time. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.
