maintenance facility in Pointe-Claire and Baie Comeau. Role involves
overseeing a team of mechanics, ensuring the timely and efficient
repair and maintenance of our trucking fleet. Additionally, will
manage budgets, implement preventive maintenance programs and enforce
safety standards, and collaborate with other departments to minimize
downtime, optimize vehicle performance and support the company’s
transportation operations.Location: Pointe Claire will be the base with regular travel to Baie ComeauQualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
Experience working in a Fleet environment with management experience
Heavy Truck and Coach mechanic license (310T) preferred or College
Degree in Business with heavy truck mechanical working knowledge
Excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills
Excellent computer skills which include word and excel
P&L and budget responsibility
Strong industry knowledge
Good organizational skills
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving
The ability to work under pressure and handle stress
Must be bilingual in English/French
The ability to travelAdditional InformationWhat you will doYou will be delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the
progress of current projects, and managing the service team in both
Pointe-Claire and Baie Comeau to ensure the team’s objectives and
goals are met.
Handling complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain
good relationships with internal stakeholders and external third
parties.
Auditing vendor invoices ensuring job estimates are accurate, and
warranty or goodwill requirements are fulfilled while managing to
reduce overall repair costs.
Working closely with staff and evaluating their productivity and efficiency.
Monitoring issues and complaints to create methods to lessen recurring issues.
Ensure the company’s high standards, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.
Maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers and 3rd
party vendors
Helping to train new employees in company procedures.
Maintaining a strong working knowledge of industry regulations,
restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company’s adherence to these
regulations, and remaining current on the industry’s standards and new
innovations, materials, tools, and processes.
Working closely with local and remote operation teams, scheduling
equipment for service and repairs including daily status updates
Available 24/7 to provide guidance and approval to the maintenance
team as well as the Afterhours Breakdown Coordinators.We would like to thank all those expressing an interest in this
