Job Description: Who are we?Located at Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport, LUX Ground Services (a subsidiary of the Chrono Group) is a rapidly growing company offering ground operations and refuelling services.Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Quebec City in 2012. In the beginning, the company operated a Pilatus PC-12 with a team of two pilots. Today, Chrono Aviation boasts a fleet of 15 aircraft and a team of 280 employees.Role and contextThe Ramp Agent plays a key role in ground operations for aircraft. They are responsible for handling luggage, guiding aircraft to the gates, loading and unloading cargo, and assisting with aircraft start-up. This position requires a high level of diligence, adherence to airport safety standards, and close coordination with other ground crew members.Key responsibilities
- Load and unload luggage, freight, and cargo onto aircraft.
- Securely stow cargo in the hold according to safety protocols.
- Guide aircraft using hand signals or ground visual equipment.
- Position and remove wheel chocks from aircraft.
- Operate ground service vehicles and equipment (e.g., baggage tractors, conveyor belts, etc.).
- Perform equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning.
- Communicate effectively with the control tower and crew to coordinate departures and arrivals.
- Assist with aircraft de-icing when necessary.
- Ensure runway areas are clear of debris and secured.
- Strictly follow airport security and safety procedures.

Specific job requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in cargo handling or a similar role in an airport environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of airport safety protocols and security standards.
- Valid driver’s licence (appropriate class for the region) to operate airport vehicles.
- Training on ground service equipment and its safe use is an asset.
- Good physical condition to lift heavy loads (up to 32 kg).
- Fluency in French is required for this position, and a good command of English is also necessary to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada or abroad.
