Job DescriptionYour areas of responsibility:Investigates the origin and cause of failures, damages or defects in the mechanical fields within industrial, commercial, and residential sites. Analyzes the failure of mechanical systems, determines the cause of failures, evaluates the quality of construction or reviews design or maintenance procedures.Performs field investigations, leads multi-party examinations, and documentation of damaged property.Research failure modes as needed, prepare recommendations for repair and/or remediation as appropriate.Prepares reports and letters outlining the origin and cause of the damages to our clients.Manages/works on multi-disciplinary teams on large and complex assignments.Establishes trusted working relationship with clients and interacts socially at mixed engagements with clients.Stays abreast of office and company policies, procedures, and practices; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:Skills in analyzing, interpreting, synthesizing, prioritizing, and reporting pertinent information.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Active PE is required (in the state of employment is preferred)1-3 years of experience evaluating mechanical failures in a commercial or industrial setting preferredHVAC and Plumbing/Piping systems experience is a plus -Electro-mechanical experience is desirableExemplary time management and organizational skills25 – 30%+ travelAbility to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditionsEducation:A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required.One Company/One Team is not just one of our 5 Guiding Principles, it’s we how separate ourselves from our competitors.
