As a Project Manager in McCain Foods’ Supply Chain Excellence team, you’ll be the driving force behind large-scale projects that keep our potato and appetizer products moving! From opening brand-new warehouses to managing complex cross-functional projects and/or programs, you’ll play a key role in shaping our North American supply chain operations. Supply Chain Transformation Delivery
- McCain is investing heavily in streamlining and enhancing our distribution network to better serve our customers. In this role, you’ll lead the charge by coordinating internal teams (plant operations, engineering, supply chain) and external partners (3PLs, MHE providers, general contractors) to ensure the successful, SAFE, on-time, and on-budget opening of multiple new warehouses.
2. Project Planning
- Lead the creation of detailed business cases for large-scale, cross-functional projects (total value of $3MM+, execution time over 4 months) involving functions such as Value Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Customer Solutions and Finance. This includes orchestrating cost-benefit analysis, defining resource requirements, and projecting ROI to secure stakeholder approval and guide strategic decision-making.
- The ability to listen to input and feedback from stakeholders, while managing scope creep and filtering out non-relevant information.
3. Project Execution
- For assigned projects, create and maintain project plans and schedules, coordinating Supply Chain activities to track timelines, milestones, and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet or exceed expectations.
- Facilitate communication among project teams, stakeholders, and external partners, organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining project documentation.
- Delegate tasks effectively and hold others accountable to maintain project scope and timelines. (including internal teams and 3rd party partners)
- Conduct Project Post-Mortem/Lesson Learned assessments and develop process improvements for future projects.

Qualifications:
- Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Certifications: PMP or similar certification.
- Experience: Over 3 years of experience in Supply Chain.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- Technical Collaboration skills: Proven ability to work effectively with IT teams to ensure projects receive the necessary technical support and meet system requirements.
- System Knowledge and Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of SAP IBP/APO, E2Open TMS (formerly BluJay), WMS systems and Power BI.
- Detail-oriented and efficient: Works quickly while maintaining accuracy, with a results-driven mindset that includes the ability to analyze information and make decisive choices.
- Strong communicator: Proficient in both verbal and written communication, effectively engaging with all organizational levels while maintaining professionalism and fostering strong relationships with internal customers and external vendors.
- Information / Data savvy: Skilled at identifying and acquiring relevant information and data, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Resilient and persistent: Maintains focus and determination through setbacks, overcoming barriers with a positive, results-driven approach.
