This includes ensuring improvements to the records management framework and processes align with existing and new regulatory requirements, industry standards and corporate policies as Fidelity manages the lifecycle of records from creation to disposal.The Project Manager will also be responsible for providing ongoing governance and oversight of the program to ensure successful delivery and continued operational excellence.This role involves strong cooperation with multiple Fidelity companies, business divisions, records/data owners and accountable executives, technology teams, and oversight divisions (legal, compliance, risk, audit).
- Analyze and document current and future state process maps for records management.
- Oversee the creation, storage, maintenance, protection, retrieval, and archive or disposal of records to ensure it is managed in accordance with the records management policy and the records management schedule, for both digital records and physical records.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the integrity, security, and accessibility of records.
- Establish and maintain a governance framework for records management, including roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures.
- Conduct regular training and awareness campaigns for staff to ensure understanding and adherence to records management policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports and dashboards on the status and performance of the records management program to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Prepares effective project communications and presentations for Fidelity Canada senior management.
- Participates in performance review for team members supporting the records management program and provides input into defining future career growth opportunities and goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Post-Secondary Education in IT, Business, a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of experience in project management or leading project initiatives
- Experience developing processes and frameworks while leveraging best practices
- Experience in data/information governance and records management (digital and physical)
- Financial Industry is an asset
- Certifications in Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) is an asset
