CPPD works closely with the Housing Management Bodies who operate these facilities, to ensure that vulnerable Albertans have access to safe and secure housing.Role ResponsibilitiesJoin us to develop and showcase your exceptional leadership, organization, and projects management skills while managing capital programs and projects in this exciting opportunity!Reporting to the Director, Capital Program & Project Delivery, the Project Manager will directly manage the delivery of assigned housing capital projects. You will work with clients and stakeholders (internal and external) to define project requirements, coordinate activities of internal team members, private sector consultants, and contractors, and ensure that project scope, time, cost, and quality objectives are met.You will ensure all phases of project activities comply with Government of Alberta and Ministry legislation, policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures. A key aspect of the position is to work closely with clients, stakeholders, and industry representatives to achieve results, requiring in-depth professional knowledge of project management principles and procurement, design, and construction disciplines.You will also manage consulting and contracted resources as required. The design consultants and other technical experts conduct feasibility studies, options analysis, planning and detailed design for the facilities. General Contractors coordinate construction activities for the projects. The ideal candidate takes initiative in constantly looking for ways to improve and manage workload while challenging the existing project management processes, and continually exploring new ideas and areas of work.To be successful in this position, you will require the following skills and attributes:

- University degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum four (4) years of project management experience related to capital and/or maintenance project design and construction.
- Experience in contract management, managing teams, and handling a diverse portfolio of concurrent projects.
Equivalency: Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.Assets:
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or Professional Engineer (PEng).
- Certification as a Project Manager or Construction Administrator.
