• Accounting/finance/economics education background
• 1-2 years of project accounting experience preferred (ideally development or construction experience)
• Strong technical understanding of ASPE and real estate specific reporting requirements
• An aptitude for learning (bonus points if you’re working towards your designation!)
• Quantitative and analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically
• A strong technical proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• An understanding of accounting software functionality
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Great interpersonal skills
• Drive, motivation and a passion for the real estate industry
• A good sense of humour!

Reporting to our Assistant Controller, Project Accounting, you’ll spend your day working alongside our skilled Accounting team. You’re a key part of the overall financial management of a portfolio of projects assigned to you!You will:

• Maintain project proformas and cash flow forecasts for your assigned projects by liaising with department leads
• Post bank entries and prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare equity and loan draw packages, spend request files
• Prepare accurate project financial reports for internal and external stakeholders – budget update reports, distribution and waterfall projections, year-end financial statements, and tax working papers
• Prepare statutory government filings
• Independently organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables
• Build strong relationships with team members across the organization to ensure collaborative teamwork
