This involves ensuring all terms and conditions of the contract are met to the Customer’s satisfaction and interfacing with other departments on a frequent basis. Programs are meant to create change in the organization to create growth, often through innovation and the Program Manager will be held accountable in this respect. This position is the official Company representative for the Program and all major decisions are either made or approved by the Program Manager after consultation with the Delivery Director and Vice President.Day to day activities may include:Leading by example and promoting the AVEVA ValuesEstablishing and meeting all project schedules and budgets within the ProgramBuilding, coordinating and supporting the project and program teamEffectively manage and control scope whilst ensuring customer requirements are satisfiedConformance of the project and program work and documents to internal procedures and policyUse of internal program and project reporting tools, such as Project Space. Emphasizing data accuracy and timely updatesManaging the relationship with the customer and internal teamsInternal and external communication and reporting to external clients as well as to AVEVA executivesPlanning work and resources required to complete the ContractMaintaining and where possible, increasing planned margin for the programFollowing and improving the Program/Project delivery processAs a senior position, the following responsibilities are also included:Focusing on the strategic business objectives, and ensuring alignment to the programIllustrate leadership and influence across the organizationCoordinate and collaborate, not just with the project managers but also the enterprise, toward shared goalsManage high profile customers and complex multi-year, multi-discipline ProgramsPrepare data and participate in Executive Steering Committee meetings conducted with clients and/or AVEVA Executives as requiredDrive to the strategic plan while balancing against day-to-day realitiesOperationalizing strategic initiatives across the organization and bridge silos. Dealing with multiple departments, multiple products and multiple team membersSeeing the bigger picture. Programs are tied to strategic goals and are funded to create value which needs to be measured through the life of the programMust have a Passion for collaboration. Must be exceptional in communicating, collaborating, and coordinating cross-functionally throughout the organizationMentor and coach Project Managers and Project Leaders in all aspects of Project Management and Project Execution life-cycleParticipate in and support the Front Office organization for sales and future contract pursuitsCore Competencies:Project and Program structure definition for budget, schedule and resourcesLeveraging project and program management practices is necessary to execute and realize strategyProject and Program risk analysis and mitigation planningProject and Program planning, coordination, communication and reportingClient and team relationship managementMidstream and Pipeline business and operation knowledgeEducationA Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, with 15+ years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development, Project and Program management, preferably in the SCADA industry and familiar with Enterprise SCADA and related applications, orA Technology Diploma with 17+ years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development, Project and Program management, preferably in the SCADA industry and familiar with Enterprise SCADA and related applicationsPMP certificationAVEVA requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment.
