Job Description: Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: Canadian Thermals/Conventional/Oilsands Operations DepartmentJob Post End Date: 10/21/2024About this opportunity:Reporting to a Team Lead in the Supply Chain Service Center (SSC), the Procure to Pay (P2P) Analyst is responsible for a portfolio supporting Procure to Pay (P2P) materials and services to our Business Units. This role is responsible for partner and vendor engagement, issue investigation and remediation as well as the execution of transactions including but not limited to, Purchase Requisitions, PO (Purchase Orders) life cycle management including receiving, invoicing within set service level agreements.What you’ll do:Ensure all P2P activities performed adhere to the P2P Standard and Cenovus policiesCreate purchase requisitions from defined requirements in support of Business Unit activities as required. Monitor approval of requisitions and complete requisition changes as required. Complete root cause analysis and problem resolution as requiredAnalyze Business Unit spend and advise on appropriate PO values.Monitor contract expiry dates and work with Category Management on timeline for extension or recommend use of exception codesCreate and approve purchase orders as per established commit authorityLink supporting documentation to requisitions and/or Purchase OrdersMonitor approval of purchase orders and transmit them to the suppliers promptlyManage purchase order lifecycle which includes resolution of invoice problems, clearing Goods Received/Invoice Received imbalances, vendor payment and closure of purchase orders on a timely basisConfirm receipt of all material Purchases Orders to ensure materials are received at the right time, at the right price and the right placeSupport multiple Business Units by responding to email and phone inquiries from the Business Unit.Communicate with vendors by email and phone to resolve issues.Accountable for accurate purchase order creation, including tax code assignment, payment terms, delivery dates, and cross company cost object alignmentsInvestigate and resolve problem invoices with third-party automated payment systemProvide training and mentorship to Procurement Administrators.Act as Procure to Pay subject matter expert in cross functional project and sustainment discussionsProvide back-up capacity, holiday, and vacation support to leader and P2P AdvisorWho you are:Musts:Be legally entitled to work in CanadaAn undergraduate degree in technical or business subject area or equivalent experience2+ years’ experience in field related businessUnderstanding of procure to pay and accounts payableAssets:Supply Chain Management certificationExperience in a service center environmentExcel spreadsheet expertise and reportingWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT October 20th, 2024.If you require accessibility assistance to complete the on-line application or otherwise apply for an open position with Cenovus, its subsidiaries and affiliates, please email .Internal candidates that are currently in a lower grade will be assessed based on their sustained job performance, how they demonstrate the expected organizational competency behaviors and values and in discussions with their current leader prior to determining next steps.Who we are:We’re an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary with oil and natural gas production operations in Canada and the Asia Pacific region, and upgrading, refining and marketing operations in Canada and the United States.
