Title of the Job: Printing Press Plate Mounter

Location: Central Bedeque, PE

Job Description: As a Printing Press Plate Mounter (Flexographic), you will play a crucial role in the pre-press stage of our printing process. You will be responsible for accurately mounting flexographic printing plates onto cylinders or sleeves, ensuring precise alignment and registration. Additionally, you will maintain the organization and cleanliness of the art room, including storage for plates and print proofs, and assist with cleaning and maintaining press sleeves and cylinders.Reporting To:
Production SupervisorWhat You’ll Do:

• Prepare flexographic plates for mounting, ensuring they are clean, defect-free, and properly trimmed.

• Mount flexographic plates onto cylinders or sleeves according to job specifications, maintaining precise alignment and registration.
• Inspect mounted plates for accuracy and quality control.
• Troubleshoot any issues with plate mounting and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the art room and storage areas.
• Clean and maintain press sleeves and cylinders to ensure optimal printing performance.
• Assist with various tasks during downtime, such as general cleaning or helping other departments as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Flexographic plate mounter or similar role in the printing industry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Adaptability to assist with various tasks during downtime.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy cylinders or sleeves.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Potential for additional hours based on delivery requirements.

What We Offer:

• $17.68 per hour. Once training is complete, this will increase to $20.25 per hour.
