Talent is our world.The RoleThe Principal Talent Development is responsible for the administration and the logistics involved in the delivery of all SECA training programs including maintenance of our internal learning management system, scheduling and course management, marketing and communication and course content updates. The incumbent will be required to conduct an annual needs analysis to identify and recommend appropriate development offerings and also deliver/ facilitate internal training sessions, as required. In addition to local learning programs, the incumbent will work closely with North American and Global learning teams to provide candidates to the global leadership training programs.The incumbent will also manage the onboarding process for new hires including welcome sessions, New Hire Orientation sessions, feedback surveys, and tool kits to support successful onboarding.The incumbent will also support Performance Management programs including mid-year and annual performance reviews, competency and leadership assessments, and Succession Planning.In addition to learning and development, the incumbent, Talent Development will also support DiveKey AccountabilitiesWorks in conjunction with North American Headquarters (NAHQ) and Global Training teams to customize and execute the rollout of training processes, programs and initiatives and determine nominations for global leadership programs.
- Coordinates and revises training materials and content working with subject matter experts and vendors to ensures training is applicable to Samsung and target audience.
- Responsible for onboarding programs for new hires. This includes organizing and facilitating Welcome Sessions, facilitating quarterly New Hire Orientation sessions.
- Maintains the internal Learning Management system including events, sessions, registration, attendance and learning hours. Serves as primary point of contact for training information and problem resolution. Resolves employee learning issues as necessary.
- Coordinates training sessions for learning programs ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup, facilitator requirements and employee notification.
- Contact person for external vendors regarding contracts, billing and invoice management.. Researches external providers and evaluates potential partnerships.
- Responsible for marketing and communicating training programs/initiatives.
- Administers and collects training program evaluations and provides summaries to determine ROI.
- Facilitate and organize Lunch & Learns, internal training sessions and/or information sessions.
- Needs Analysis: reviews Performance Management, Competency Assessment, 360 Assessments, Succession Planning, and Samsung Culture Index data to provide learning strategy annually.
- Diversity & Inclusion: work closely with the Head of Talent Management to create annual DEI strategy, execute initiatives, support employee resource groups, and sit on the DEI committee.
- Works with employees to create individual development plans and provide advice and/or guidance to help employees build their career path.
- Oversees the administration of the Performance Management process including the mid-year and annual review process and calibration.
- Administrative support for assessment tools including Competency Assessment, and leadership 360 Assessments.
- Administer the annual Succession Planning process as well as analytical support to debrief leadership on development and retention needs.
Other:
- Manages the administration and the communication campaign of the annual Engagement Survey as well as, participates in the planning for overall engagement action plans upon results of the survey.
- Supports communication pillar including administration of The Box employee feedback tool and other internal communications for social events.
- Administer Pulse Surveys for training programs, onboarding, and engagement.
- Coordinates social events including the annual Employee Appreciation Day, year-end awards banquet and other ad hoc social events.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- 3-5 years of Learning & Development experience
- An Associate of Arts, Business school certification or specialized training in human resources, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Consistent attention to detail
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Unimpeachable judgement and discretion in handling confidential information
- Proactive approach to daily work and projects
- Strong team orientation with demonstrated experience working effectively with individuals, groups, and other organizational units to carry out the goals of a training function.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
