The role will be primarily responsible for running price quotes to achieve a strategic retail price, while ensuring margin profitability is maintained for all products across all provincial markets. This will involve leading cross-functional conversations between the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure alignment. Additionally, the role will be responsible for the administration of all pricing submissions with each provincial liquor board, while ensuring all internal systems are updated accordingly. The role will also support the overall Finance and Analytics department with any ad-hoc projects that will come up as a result of evolving needs of the business.Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare price quotations and scenario analyses for theoretical, existing, and new products to support innovation processes and sales and marketing requirements
  • Develop an understanding of liquor board pricing structure changes and ensures the internal pricing system calculators are aligned to the liquor board calculators
  • Accurately and timely submit all price changes to each Provincial Liquor Board
  • Analyze margin analysis and provide recommendations on profitability and competitiveness using market data
  • Communicate complex concepts to cross-functional teams effectively
  • Maintain Internal Price Lists to accurately match product COGS, indirect costs, supplier transfer prices, Forex rates, rebates in all provinces
  • Ensure all ERP and Pricing systems and tools are updated with all the latest submissions/changes
  • Generate Monthly Price History, National Price List, and Regional Profitability reports to support suppliers and internal teams
  • Allocate monthly freight and storage costs by supplier
  • Provide support and act as a backup to the Pricing and Finance teams
  • Assist in the development of the Company’s internal reporting systems
  • Ad-hoc analyses and requests, as required
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary ResponsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business plus 2 years of experience in an analytical role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
  • Excellent understanding of Excel VBA coding and Power Query
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills
  • Ability to interpret and summarize data, identify key takeaway insights and business implications

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
