The role will support all sales regions and its DVPs, BDMs, and BDAs to provide portfolio construction expertise regarding Fidelity’s product offerings, third party products, industry trends, and competitor intelligence. The Portfolio Construction Manager will be involved in all aspects of development and ongoing support of Fidelity Portfolio Solutions.How You’ll Make an Impact-Contribute to asset allocation discussions and investment model portfolio strategy, oversight and executionUtilize investment tools and market research to make actionable recommendations, including a detailed analysis of risk, return and diversification aspects of a model portfolio and/or and advisors’ book of businessPartner with Portfolio Strategists, their clients, and prospects to contribute to the building of investment modelsConduct third party manager research to develop strong bench of investment options, using both quantitative and qualitative analysisMonitor products used within model portfolios for notable changes and communicate impactsDevelop relationships with Fidelity’s Portfolio Strategists, and occasionally their prospects and clients-Establish Fidelity Canada as an industry leader in portfolio constructionBuild, maintain, and communicate with expert level of knowledge on portfolio construction conceptsIdentify opportunities to develop and execute portfolio construction strategies that will maximize market penetration and increase customer loyaltyPartner with Portfolio Strategists to educate and promote Fidelity’s portfolio construction philosophy, process, performance, and competitive strengthsAssist in providing thought leadership and insights regarding the marketplace-Support Sales, Marketing & Corporate Affairs with timely & relevant informationProvide expert insights into the development of external investment communication material ensuring portfolio construction information is correct, compelling, and understood relative competitor service offeringsAssist in the development and analysis of thought leadership piecesSupport portfolio construction education for those with varying degrees of investment knowledgeProvide insight and counsel for investment solution improvement and product development initiativesProvide support for Portfolio Strategists on ad hoc portfolio construction queriesWhat We’re Looking ForCompletion of a University degree or equivalent work experience7+ years of investment market expertiseCompletion of CFA/MBA/CAIA is an assetCanadian Asset management or wealth management industry knowledge3+ years of building and maintaining model portfolios, or maintained arecommended list of 3rd party investment managers, and an expert level of knowledge on portfolio construction conceptsWhat You Will BringExceptional analytical abilityStrong knowledge of investment products and servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to successfully articulate detailed mechanics of portfolio construction, investment philosophy, and processProven experience performing complex data analysisFidelity Canada is an equal opportunity employerFidelity Canada is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
