Job Description: I may not have a formal cooking degree, but I hold a PhD in Engineering from McGill University and was a senior engineer working on my patent. After becoming a mother, I paused my professional career, but now that my baby is one year old and I have a nanny at home, I’m excited to pursue my passion for cooking healthy meals for my family-and for yours! I have always dreamed of opening a restaurant or café with a unique focus on providing healthy food and pastries. My cooking is free of ultra-processed ingredients, excessive refined sugars and salts, seed oils, pesticides, heavy metals, and microplastics-all prepared in a clean environment. I adhere to the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 lists. In my kitchen, you won’t find plastic, Teflon, or aluminum cookware. I strive to use stainless steel for all my cooking, and when necessary, I opt for ceramic pots and pans. I use osmosis-filtered water and replace refined sugars with healthier alternatives like dates, raisins, honey, and organic maple syrup, while minimizing salt as much as possible. I avoid GMO ingredients, particularly those that are difficult to find as non-GMO, such as corn, and I prioritize organic options. I am also aware of natural toxicants in our food, like arsenic in rice, and take careful steps during preparation-such as soaking, boiling, and rinsing-to reduce their impact. Yes, I have a meticulous approach to food prep! I share this background so you can understand my dedication and see if I could be a good fit for your culinary needs. Although I’m currently focused on my family, I am eager to cook for two or three additional families to explore my passion for healthy food on a small scale. How It Works: We’ll start with a face-to-face meeting to get to know each other and discuss your food preferences, dietary restrictions, portion sizes, and budget. From there, I’ll plan a customized weekly or monthly menu prepared in my kitchen. I’ll also share videos and pictures of the cooking process on my Instagram page, allowing you to connect more deeply with your meals.
