Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description: Our services client is looking to add a Payroll Compliance Advisor to their team. You would be part of a team of 9 others and report into the Manager, Compliance in this unique position. This position does not focus on processing payroll, rather you will be a key member in providing payroll knowledge, support, guidance, and training in the interpretation and implementation of Canadian payroll legislation to members and non-members.What our client has to offer:

• Provide accurate, current, and verifiable information, guidance, and assistance to the Institute’s members on payroll compliance and related subject matter
• Communicate and review any inquiries and/or problems that require in-depth research and/or specific expertise, with Manager, Compliance Services .
• Support and share knowledge to cross-train colleagues to retain valuable intellectual capital within the organization.
• Conduct and deliver corporate training as required to organizations requesting customized payroll training.
• Update and maintain the personal development seminars including speaker notes, PowerPoint, seminar content, workbooks, questions, and answers for legislative changes, accuracy, correctness, and improvements.
• Provide compliance content updates and revisions for the three payroll courses of the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) program.
• Participate in government Readability sub-committee to review Federal and Provincial guides, publications, IT Folios and CPP/EI Explained documentation.
• Monitor Federal and Provincial legislation and analyze budgets for respective jurisdictions and communicate with the Compliance Services Manager and team

Qualifications:

• PLP or enrolled in preferred, but open to those who possess the appropriate experience
• A solid end-to-end payroll background
• Strong technical skills and a solid grasp on compliance knowledge
• Bilingual (French) would be a big asset
• They are open to someone local to Toronto (hybrid 3x) or across the region (remote)
