Job Description: Our client, based in the heart of Montreal, is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Manager to join its dynamic team. Dynamic environmentResponsibilities
Manage the entire payroll process.
Produce and send Records of Employment as required.
Ensure quality and compliance in the processing and transmission of payroll, group insurance and pension plan data.
Create and manage documentation related to payroll files.
Compile data and update various payroll and benefits reports.
Ensure the accuracy and collection of information related to the Skills Act.
Manage various administrative tasks related to benefits.
Monitor the management of vacation and sick leave banks.
Oversee the year-end process (T4, Relevé 1, SST, etc.).
Perform other duties as required.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting, human resources or related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, including practical experience in payroll processing, accounting, and administration of group insurance and other benefits.
Good knowledge of provincial and federal principles and regulations, as well as payroll and human resources standards.
In-depth knowledge of the Nethris payroll system (an asset).
Mastery of computer tools, particularly Excel.
Good command of French and English.
Experience in the legal sector (an asset).
Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset).Ability to work independently and exercise discretion.
Sense of priorities, thoroughness and attention to detail.
Ability to provide prompt and efficient service to customers.
Ability to manage several files simultaneously according to priorities.Summary
