Title of the Job: Payroll Administrator

Location: Vancouver, BC

Job Description: Job Description:We are offering a remote job opportunity for a Payroll Administrator, providing an important role in our financial services sector. This role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a contract to hire position that provides the opportunity to contribute significantly to our team. This is a 1-year temporary contract.Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process payrolls for around 400 BC employees, the majority of whom are salaried, on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Administer and reconcile benefits, working primarily with Manulife.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s various components, enabling effective payroll management.
  • Use SAP and SuccessFactors for various payroll-related tasks, though a background in ADP is also acceptable.
  • Regularly interact with detail-oriented staff, addressing their payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Use Microsoft Excel for various calculations and data management tasks.
  • Handle year-end payroll and special payroll deductions.
  • Report payroll taxes accurately and timely.
  • Manage full cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile payroll, ensuring all financial records are accurate

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in ADP – Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with Benefit Functions
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll, Canadian Payroll, and Full Cycle Payroll
  • Experience with Payroll for 101 – 500 Employees
  • Familiarity with Payroll Functions and Payroll Tax Reporting
  • Experience in Reconciling Payroll and Tax – Payroll
  • Knowledge of Special Payroll Deductions and Year-end Payroll
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
